Delhi
Capital City of independent India is the gateway to India. It is dynamic and cosmopolitan blends of internationalism and tradition, from top-notch cuisine and fine museums and art galleries of New Delhi to the bustling twisting alleyways of Old Delhi’s Chandni Chowk bazaar.

Shimla
Shimla silhouted against dark green ranges in the Shivalik hills, about 2130 metres above sea level rests the queen of hills, Shimla, also referred to as Mount Olympus in the later days. A region rich in tradition and natural beauty, Shimla and its environs make for a lovely and varied stay full of surprises that characterise Himachal. Visitors to this place treasure their own images of this beautiful city. Many come here to escape from the scorching heat of the plains, or wind up their way to its suburbs, or simply to admire the splendid views. It is a city for the fun lovers, for the ardent admirers of nature and also ideal for the honeymooners which remains unashamedly romantic through every changing season.

Sangla
For six months every year, the Himalayan valleys of Kinnaur and Spiti emerge from a thick cloak of snow to reveal a different, secret world to man. Your discovery of the lesser-known Himalayas can begin at the Banjara Camp in the Sangla Valley. At a height of 2,700 mts the Banjara Camp & Retreat are surrounded by towering mountains on all sides and is set on the banks of the Baspa river that surges through the valley. Long walks to discover the amazing fauna and flora of the valley, treks to view snow covered Himalayan peaks, angling for trout, experiencing some of the local culture and traditions, rock climbing, rappelling and river crossing are only some of the delights that are on offer.

Kaza
Kaza is the capital of Spiti Valley. Rudyard Kipling describes Spiti in "Kim" in these words: "At last they entered a world within a world - a valley of leagues where the high hills were fashioned of the mere rubble and refuse from off the knees of the mountains... Surely the Gods live here. The valleys of Kullu and Lahaul bound Spiti, locally pronounced “Piti”, on its south and west; the region of Ladakh lies to the north and the Kalpa valley lies to the southeast. Geologically and archaeologically, Spiti is a living museum. The mountains are devoid of any vegetation and erosion by wind, sun and snow over thousands of years has laid bare the rocks. The rugged and rocky mountain slopes sweep down to the riverbeds giving the landscape a moon-like appearance.

Kalpa
Kalpa has all the makings of an Indian Fairyland. At a height of 10,900 feet in Himachal Pradesh, 265 kms ahead of Shimla on the NH22 in Kinnaur District is this hideaway town. It is located at the base of the imposing Kinner Kailash ranges and Shivling peaks which rise upto 20,000 feet, towering above the clouds, kissing the heavens, encircling the area around. Kalpa itself is spread amidst chilgoza forests, apple plantations and the holy deodhars. It is reached after crossing the quaint town of Recong Peo, which has a hundred-year-old monastery.

Thanedar
80 kms from Shimla on the old Hindustan-Tibet road lies Kothgarh, which enjoys a special place in Himachal history. In 1916 Samuel Stokes, a social worker from Philadelphia brought the first apple saplings to Kotgarh, the place he adopted as his home. One can still see the 'Starking Delicious' apple orchard that he planted there.

One of the earliest hotels in the Civil Lines area was the Maidens Hotel which was built as a single storey structure in 1900. A white plastered classical building, it is now called Oberoi Maidens, and continues to breathe the air of the Raj.

Overnight: Woodville Palace
The Woodville Palace has a history dating back to 1866 when Sir William Mansfield, Commander-in-Chief of the imperial army became the first resident of the charming estate. The palace was reconstructed in 1938 by the Rana of Jubbal when hundreds of expert artisans were brought from far and wide to ensure the highest quality of craftsmanship. Kanwar Udai Singh opened a part of the mansion as a guest house in 1977 and today, the palace is one of the finest places to stay in Shimla.

Situated at an altitude of 7000 feet, far away from the sweltering plains of northern India, Shimla was once a nondescript village. It became popular with the British in the 1830s and later became the summer capital of the imperial government. Enticed by its salubrious character, the British ended up spending more time at this 'hill station' than at the real capital which was at Calcutta. Today, it is the state capital of Himachal Pradesh and holds the lingering echoes of a bygone era.
