A wonderful and unusual combination. A week’s summer skiing in the Andes at Chile’s finest ski resort. Enjoy Chillán’s friendly, informal atmosphere, excellent skiing and spa. Then spend a week relaxing on the beautiful sands of stylish Buzios, just north of Rio. Although it is winter in Brazil, you can expect temperatures in the mid-20s and warm water.

Day 2 | Chillán | Arrive Morning flight from Santiago to ski resort of Chillán in the Chilean Lake District. Afternoon soak in the hot springs of your spa hotel. (d)
Day 3 | Chillán | Ski in the Andes Ski the slopes over two volcanoes. From the top of the resort (2,700m) you look out across the Andes. Chillán offers 10,000 hectares of skiable terrain. (b,d)
Day 4 | Chillán | Ski in the Andes 5 hours of small group lessons are included for you today. (b,d)
Day 5 | Chillán | Ski in the Andes Full day to ski. For some pampering, book in for a massage or treatment in the spa. (b,d)
Day 6 | Chillán | Ski in the Andes Try cross-country skiing, dog-sledding or heli-skiing for some serious off-piste adventure. (b,d)
Day 7 | Chillán | Ski in the Andes Chillán gives you a real flavour of Chile as well as being a world class ski resort. (b,d)
Day 8 | Chillán | Ski in the Andes Final day of skiing. (b,d)
Day 9 | Santiago | Ski, train and nightlife Catch the train north to Santiago. Enjoy the bright lights of the big city. (b)
Day 10 | Buzios | Travel Fly to Rio and transfer 2 hours north to the coastal town of Buzios. Relax in your lovely pousada overlooking the bays. (b)
Day 11 | Buzios | Relax and explore Each of the 20 or more beaches and bays has a different feel. Rent bikes, snorkel or surf. Eat in one of the bars and restaurants known for great seafood.(b)
Day 12 | Buzios | Relax and explore Enjoy the beaches, scenery, activities and nightlife. (b)
Day 13 | Buzios | Relax and explore Hike a trail or take a water taxi around the headland. Enjoy the views at sunset. (b)
Day 14 | Buzios | Relax and explore The west coast beaches offer calm, clear waters while the east coast ones, facing the open sea, are a little wilder and draw surfers and water sports enthusiasts. (b)
Day 15 | Buzios | Relax and explore Explore Olho de Boi beach, surrounded by untouched Atlantic Forest vegetation. (b)
Day 16 | Travel | Depart for home Morning transfer to Rio for your flight home. (b)
