RIO DE JANEIRO Rio de Janeiro, the former capital, is not only a large city with many beaches. Most often it is associated with being the capital of samba, carnival and sandy beaches. It is also a bustling business city, a multicultural melting pot and a city situated in a beautiful natural environment. That’s why we will spend three days enjoying the main beauties of the city such as: Corcovado, Santa Teresa, Tijuca Forest, downtown etc.
PARATY Forgotten for 200 hundred years, Paraty was "rediscovered" in the 1970s and has been restored to its original colonial style of construction. Historical cobblestone alleys in a tropical setting, jeep excursions to jungle waterfalls, schooner day sails to white sandy beaches and excellent cuisine are among the attractions.
OURO PRETO Founded at the end of the 17th century, Ouro Preto was the local point of the gold rush and Brazil's golden age in the 18th century. The city is the largest and most homogeneous Portuguese colonial style settlement in the world. It is located 96 kilometers from the State Capital Belo Horizonte and 1150 meters above sea level. Ouro Preto is a wonderful place to experience a cooler Brazilian climate in the winter, where you can walk around in the streets and just drop in where the smell of delicious food is best. In the summer you will find music or movie festivals or the whole city celebrating local festivals.
The package has 3 different destinations: The Marvelous City: Rio de Janeiro, located in the southeast of Brazil, 600 km from São Paulo City; Paraty, that is situated between the sea and the Atlantic rainforest covered mountains of Serra da Bocaina, 180 km along the coast from Rio de Janeiro; And Ouro Preto & Tiradentes – a historical town in the southeast of Brazil.

Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Rio. Private transfer with guide to the Hotel Mar Ipanema. Check in and free time to enjoy the city.
Day 2
An 8-hour tour to get to know the geography and urban life of Rio visiting the amazing statue of the Christ (elected one of the Seven Wonders of the World), the Tijuca Forest (one of the biggest urban forest in the world) and the Santa Teresa district. From there, we will take the old tram over the aqueduct to downtown, where we will have lunch. After lunch, we will walk around the downtown area, getting to know its main historical places and multicultural aspects.
Day 3
Free morning in Rio de Janeiro. In the afternoon, a 4 hour transfer to Paraty, a cozy and charming historical town, situated in the Green Coast - between the sea and the Atlantic rainforest. Check in at the hotel and free time to enjoy the city.
Day 4
Day at leisure to relax by visiting churches, old buildings and ateliers.
Day 5
A 5-hour boat trip visiting stunning beaches and islands with three stops to relax and take a dive. Great opportunity for snorkeling and swimming.
Day 6
Early morning transfer from Paraty to Rio de Janeiro´s airport (GIG). Flight to Belo Horizonte and transfer to Ouro Preto city – 1 ½ hour away from Belo Horizonte.
Day 7
In the morning we will leave for a walking tour in Ouro Preto, Unesco world's heritage. Before lunch we will go to Mineralogy Museum and Carmo Church. The lunch will be at a restaurant that serves typical food from “Minas Gerais”. After lunch, the tour continues to the Matriz do Pilar church and São Francisco church. Before returning back to the hotel, we will take a light walk through the Historic Center.
Day 8
A 2-hour drive to Tiradentes City. Check in at the hotel and a half day tour in Tiradentes. We will visit the São José Fountain, Santo Antonio Church, Padre Toledo’s house and the Largo da Forra. We will stop for lunch, served in a typical Minera´s food restaurant. In the afternoon, return to the hotel.
Day 9
Free day to enjoy the best of Tiradentes.
Day 10
Early in the morning, transfer from Tiradentes to Belo Horizonte´s airport. Fly back to your country.
Price based on: 2 people sharing a double room in October 2008. Not valid for national holidays. Package available all year round. This tour can be tailor made to your wishes.
