Overview
Accessible only by helicopter, Minaret Station treats those fortunate enough to experience this wilderness landscape to a level of comfort and style never before available in the New Zealand mountains. Guests are hosted under canvas in luxuriously furnished tented suites complete with wall to wall sheepskin carpet, king beds, private deck set with its own hot tub, full en-suite with double vanity and endless hot showers.
Undoubtedly one of the world's most unique experiences, a stay on this private 20,000 hectares' working sheep, cattle and deer property offers a level of comfort and style not usually associated with a remote country landscape. Plush and luxurious tents come exquisitely furnished and no creature comforts are sacrificed. The active options at both lodges operate on a 'choose your own adventure' style with a range of options suited to each location and season.

Dining
Located centrally amongst the tented suites is the Mountain Kitchen. Utilising fresh local produce, resident chefs and kitchen staff prepare modern European cuisine coupled with an extensive cellar and bar. Guests can choose to dine together or in the privacy of their tented suite or deck. Individually packed gourmet picnics are popular for those choosing to explore.
Activities
Activities include hiking the many trails; experiencing the life of high country farming; spotting for wild game animals on the adjacent slopes; taking a helicopter to explore the rugged Fiordland West Coast, accessing incredible fly-fishing rivers; or simply relaxing with a book on your private deck.
In winter, Minarat Station guests might choose to enjoy exhilarating heli-skiing in this pristine and breath taking 'high country' setting, while in warmer months, fabulous hikes in spectacular country might be the order of the day, stoping for gourmet picnics and taking in the mesmerising views, or 'heli-biking' with guests being flown into a valley for an adventurous trail ride into lush farmland below.

Guests are hosted under canvas in luxuriously furnished tented suites complete with wall to wall sheepskin carpet, a private deck with personal hot tub and full en-suite bathroom with endless hot showers.
Suites can be configured as king or twin share on request. With large opening windows and central heating the tented suites provide comfort irrespective of the season. Each suite is linked via a lit wooden walkway to the main lodge with its two separate living areas, open fires and first class dining facilities.
