All of the eco luxury resort accommodations are located on the water's edge and are complete with a front balcony. From every cabin our guests enjoy a breath-taking view of Chilko Lake and BC's surrounding wilderness paradise.

Our main lodge is a spacious, three story spruce log structure situated within easy walking distance of the private guest cabins. The ground level of the lodge features a 600 sq ft corporate meeting room, yoga and aerobics center with indoor pool and sauna. The cocktail lounge is located on the main floor of the Lodge where the vaulted ceilings, impressive rock fireplace and comfortable seating have created a perfect evening destination. The central floor dining area opens to a spacious loft where intimate or private party dining room seating is available. A wall of floor to ceiling windows ensures that Chilko Lake and its turquoise waters are visible from every seat in the house. Here is where our guests will gather to enjoy wholesome and delectable culinary delights prepared by the resort's Executive Chef.

The team is more than happy to facilitate team building activities for you and your team. We have put together such events as scavenger hunts and fishing derbies. Chilko River's class IV white water rafting adventure will also make a memorable impression on your team and spark some excitement and adrenaline for the following brainstorming sessions back at the lodge.

For a well-deserved treat, group members can spend some valuable time at Eden on Chilko Lake's Garden Spa and unwind with a relaxing deep tissue massage or soothing body wrap. The Lodge stands tall against the backdrop of British Columbia's breath-taking Coastal Mountains and is adjacent to Ts'yl-os Provincial Park; a protected natural wildlife habitat and a hidden valley gem where alpine meadows, colourful volcanic summits and rolling ice fields unite to create a hiker's paradise.

Chilko Lake

British Columbia's Chilko Lake is the largest high elevation fresh water lake (50km / 30mi long) in North America. Its translucent waters are home to the 2nd largest sockeye salmon run and offer world class trout fishing. The shores of Chilko Lake are home to a diverse wildlife population and an artist inspiring landscape.

Travelling to Eden on Chilko Lake via land?

The overland route from Vancouver: Travel Highway 1 north to Cache Creek, then take Highway 97 north to Williams Lake. Head west on Highway 20 to Tatla Lake then turn south onto Bluff Lake Road and drive as far as Cochin Lake. Remain left on Tatlayoko Road for 16 km to Chilko Lake Road. Eden on Chilko Lake is 42 km from there. The resort is approximately 2 hours by road from Williams Lake and a high clearance vehicle is recommended as routes follow gravel roads.

Travelling to Eden on Chilko Lake via Air?

To Williams Lake: Flights to Williams Lake from Vancouver are based out of Vancouver International Airport's South Terminal and are aboard Pacific Coastal Airlines scheduled flights. Call for current charter prices. Shuttle service to Eden on Chilko Lake is available for $59 roundtrip. For Williams Lake bound guests, a minimum of 4 passengers is required

Direct To Resort: Flights from Vancouver International Airport's South Terminal to the Eden on Chilko Lake private airstrip depart Mondays and Thursdays and are approximately 1 hour 15 min. Fly in comfort to the Resort and view lakes and glaciers as you cross over British Columbia's spectacular Coastal mountain range. Minimum 2 passengers per flight. Maximum luggage allowed is 35 lbs. per person. If you have your own plane you are welcome to land on our Chilko Lake airstrip. We are at an elevation of 4000 feet and the grassy airstrip is 3200 feet in length. Guests MUST notify us in advance if they plan to use our airstrip as we have to ensure that the runway is clear at the time of landing. A landing fee may apply to airstrip users who are not guests of the ranch. If you have a float plane you can land and tie up right in front of our Lodge. If you have the opportunity to fly directly into Eden on Chilko Lake, you will surely notice that the views are spectacular. The unspoiled Chilcotin region is made up of thick alpine forests, beautiful freshwater lakes, and unspoiled wetlands.

Grizzly Bear Viewing

Throughout September and October resident Grizzly Bears converge on the shores of Chilko River to feed on of the spawning salmon. Eden on Chilko Lake is located where the mighty Chilko River and azure blues of Chilko Lake unite. For this reason, guests to the lodge get to enjoy some of the best grizzly bear viewing in North America from the safety of our lodge deck or a guided, motorized watercraft.

Spin Cast Fishing

There are big fish to be caught on Chilko Lake; Up to 10lb bull trout and 6lb rainbows have been known to be hauled out of this 84km aquatic masterpiece. Anglers are encouraged to practice responsible catch and release fishing as we would like to our best to preserve our environment and its ecosystems.

Fly Fishing

Chilko River boasts some of the finest fly-fishing in North America. Tag along with our resident outdoor guide or head out on your own for a day of fishing for Trout and Dolly Varden. Rods and tackle are available at the aquatic centre located within the fitness centre complex.

White Water rafting

Chilko River offers two different rafting adventures; tease your curiosity with some moderate yet exciting exploration near the mouth of the river or take on the longest stretch of class IV rapids on the continent - Lava Canyon on Chilko River's "White Mile". Horseback riding

While horseback riding at Eden on Chilko Lake, you will find yourself on towering peaks with views of the valley where Chilko River runs into the mouth of Chilko Lake. Because Chilko Lake is nestled within BC's Coastal Mountains, our wranglers will have you exploring the Alpine region shortly after departing the Resort.

Horses are sensitive animals; they are aware of the mind-set of their rider and respond to a clear and confident mind. Understanding their thought process and fine-tuning your cues can be an invigorating and enjoyable confidence-building experience.

Scenic Boat Tours

Join us as we cruise Chilko Lake's shorelines aboard a 27 foot inflatable Zodiac vessel in search of wildlife and wildflower viewing opportunities. With the help of your guide, guests can spot a range of grizzly bear, black bear, cougar, fox, river otter, mink, big horn sheep, bald and golden eagles and rich aquatic life. Your guide will also share his knowledge of the history of the region and the lodge itself. Take in as much as you wish or simply relax in the fresh and clear mountain air.

Tennis

Our clay tennis court is located at the rear of our main lodge and is exclusively available to Eden on Chilko Lake guests. Tennis rackets are available at the fitness centre.

Kayaking & Canoeing

Chilko Lake is sapphire in color and remains transparent up to 20+ feet from the shore. Whether you are looking down or gazing around, the view is spectacular. Weather conditions are carefully monitored in the aquatic centre. If the winds pick up, guests can still enjoy kayaking on Chilko River - ideal as a post spa adventure.

Wildflower Hikes

Adjacent to the Lodge is the valley's gem, Ts'yl-os Provincial Park. Here you'll find an assortment of trails framed with mountain meadows and alpine wildflowers. Well marked trails such as Tullin Mountain Trail make for an easy day hike (7.5 mi/ 12 km return) and you can return to the lodge just in time for dinner.

**Please note: Ts'yl-os is a wilderness park and offers limited services. Hikers should be experienced or traveling with someone who is.

Eden on Chilko Lake offers Nutritional Consulting as part of our regular program because we believe that proper nourishment can make a world of difference in your overall health. Eating the right foods can prevent disease and illness, increase energy levels and lengthen your lifespan.

Our Nutritional Consultant is trained in all facets of nutrition and is focused on improving your health through diet and lifestyle choices. You will be educated on how to achieve optimal health by making proper nutritional choices that are specific to your needs and body composition.

The consulting consists of a detailed dietary analysis, through which our Nutritional Consultant can evaluate and assess your nutritional needs and make recommendations for dietary improvements. Each person has different requirements, thus our Nutritional Consultant will work with you individually to design a realistic year round program that works for you.

You will be given recommendations to deal with a wide range of medical conditions such as stress, PMS, arthritis, menopause, food allergies, bowel disorders, weight management, obesity, diabetes and much more. This valuable information is designed to complement and enhance your current medical care.
