Arise early to the sound of a friendly ‘good morning’ from the waiter who will bring you your morning tea. Curl up in one of the soft robes hanging in your cupboard and sit on your deck sipping at you cup of steaming hot tea and watch the world light up around. Once you have fully woken up and dressed, jump into your 4x4 safari vehicle and head off into the awakening Africa and watch the animals come to life around you. At about 10 head back into camp for delicious English breakfast. The rest of the morning can either be spent lying by the pool and enjoying the sunshine or heading out on a nature walk. During the walk the Masai guide will pass onto you the knowledge that has been passed down through his people for generations. Lunch is a relaxed affair and the combination of a nice full tummy and the midday heat will leave you feeling superbly soporific. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon nap in your tent before heading out for your afternoon game drive. As the sun begins to set, come back into camp and walk the short distance up to ‘Lion Rock’. Here you will be greeted by a camp fire, chairs, a bar and a waiter serving you delicious homemade crisps. Watch the sun slip below the horizon and light up the clouds in brilliant pinks, yellows and oranges. Once the dark has enclosed, walk down the short path where you will be greeted with the most exciting, romantic and memorable dinner under the stars. The Tilly lanterns light up the rock face and the food is simply delicious. Once you have eaten your fill and shared all your stories of the day, a car will come and pick you up from your dinner table and take you back into camp. Kick off your shoes, don your pajamas and crawl into bed with your lovely hot water bottle and slip into sleep with the sounds of the African night…….

Africa : Kenya

A scenic spot with outstanding views …..So close to the Masai Mara Reserve but far enough away to be out of the ‘bustling’ tourist frenzy.

Breakfast is a delicious range of fruits and cereals. You may then order a cooked English breakfast of your choosing either in camp or out under a lone thorn-tree on the savanna plains. Lunch is a light affair - perfect for the heat of the day. It consists of various salads, meats and deliciously cooked potatoes or other starch. Pudding is simply mouthwatering and consists of delicacies such as Banofee pie or chocolate cake. Dinner is the most special meal of the day especially if you have the bush dinner that is held in the sacred Masai meeting place at the base of an enormous rock. It is made up of a delicious starter - along the lines of mango and black forest ham, then a delicious main, either something from the barbeque or a range of various dishes ranging from curries to roast chicken. Dessert is again exquisite, such as brandy snaps and chocolate mousse appearing before you. As Entumoto grows many of its own fruits and vegetables they are extremely organically minded and diet conscious thus they can do individual dishes for each of their guests according to dietary requirements.

For the majority of the time Entumoto is powered by solar batteries and they have a backup generator just in case there isn’t enough sun to charge the batteries. The water is heated using a combination of solar heating and wood burning stoves. However they do not use wood in these stoves instead they use waste paper briquettes thus keeping their pollution levels to an absolute minimum. There is fairly good Air Tel and Safaricom signal in the camp, emails can be collected and mobile phones will work.
