Nature & Kind was founded by
Andrew Harding and launched initially in the lifestyle sector of travel in January 2008, with the ultimate aim to create the world's leading Conscious Living Lifestyle Group for discerning conscious consumers, offering a range of third-party and own brand premium quality lifestyle products and services, enabling people to live happier, healthier and more sustainable lifestyles.
Nature & Kind is currently developing a range of Conscious Living Lifestyle Collections in complimentary lifestyle sectors to compliment and provide new like-minded customers for The Nature & Kind Travel Collection and its Trusted Partners.
History
Prior to founding Nature & Kind, Andrew Harding was Sales and Marketing Director of
Alladale
Wilderness Lodge and Reserve in Scotland, a pioneering ecotourism
project in the Scottish Highlands committed to restoring the balance of
nature and community development through high end, low impact
ecotourism. Whilst in this role, Andrew recognised that the adventure and experiential travel sector is highly fragmented marketplace, typified by many relatively small, independent specialist operators who with limited marketing budgets and resources, often struggle to compete against the bigger more mainstream hotel and tour operator groups for getting their ‘voice heard’ and brand recognised, by an ever growing market of discerning travellers seeking more authentic and enriching experiences off-the-beaten path without sacrificing their comfort of safety.
Likewise, Andrew recognised there is limited quality resources enabling independent travellers to be inspired, plan and book adventure and experiential travel directly with the true experts, the owner operators of adventure and experiential travel companies, who know their experience better than anyone else, and who can provide up to date, local knowledge.
As a result and as a solution, Nature & Kind was intially launched into the lifestyle sector of travel specialising in adventure and experiential travel.
What is Adventure & Experiential Travel?
Nature & Kind Travel specialises in adventure and experiential
travel, a more authentic, meaningful and inspiring way of
travelling,which goes beyond the ordinary, engaging the senses on a
physical, mental and spiritual level.
Adventure travel typically relates to activities that engage on
a physical and mental level, and can include both soft adventure
activities such as wildlife safaris, hiking, biking, horse riding, as well as extreme adventure activities such as polar expeditions and white-water rafting.
Experiential travel
is more about enriching and fulfilling experiences that connect on a
mental and/or spiritual level, and activities can range from cultural discovery tours, to volunteer programmes to wellbeing activities such as yoga and life coaching.
