When tourists choose the Praia do Forte EcoResort & Thalasso Spa , they are not only obtaining the right to take advantage of a large and environmentally-friendly leisure package; they are also helping to propel the sustainable development of a region whose future was redesigned by the construction of the hotel in 1980. Since the beginning, a rigorous social responsibility policy has inspired and permeated all the activities of the company, directly benefiting its employees and the population of 12 cities of Bahia. Actions for social promotion developed by the EcoResort go from the intensive use of a local workforce (70% of its employees live around the hotel), made possible through in-house training programs, to educational projects in the community. Even a specific organization – the Garcia D'Ávila Foundation – which is maintained by resources of the company, has been created to administrate the community projects and guide the urban development of the area without damage to its natural resources. Efforts include small details such as changing local customs that were harmful to the preservation of the natural heritage, with results exceeding expectations. With some of these old local habits ended, such as cutting wood and eating turtle eggs, Praia do Forte has become one of the best-preserved natural reserves in the country. With jobs or another source of income related to tourism, its population boosts today a quality of life unimaginable 20 years ago: more than 80% of the families have their own house and electricity, a gas stove and other conveniences. In this context, the action of entrepreneurs, non-profit organizations, and members of the community collaborate for projects that carry the characteristics of pioneering and good will. 1. Rates
To determine our rates, criteria such as period of utilization, category of apartment and number of guests per apartment are taken into account. Therefore, alterations to dates of bookings, or anyone of the above items will involve changes on rates. 1.1. Our daily rates comprehend: · Breakfast - Restaurant Goa from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. · Dinner - Served from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. at Goa Restaurant, includes Brazilian beer, sodas, fruit juices and mineral water. Beverages ordered after this mealtime will be charged separately, according to prices listed in our menus. 1.2. Our daily rates, · Start at 2 o'clock p.m., and · Close at 12 noon. To ensure earlier-than-2 o'clock-check-ins or later-than-12 noon-check-outs, an additional night booking is necessary. An extra daily rate will be charged for apartments that remain occupied after 12 noon. 2. Deadlines for cancellation Cancellations will not be charged, provided the following dates are observed: Low Season - · 14 (fourteen) days prior to the Hotel check-in date booked - applicable to bookings for the period June 1st to December 15th, 2007. High Season - · 21 (twenty-one) days prior to the Hotel check-in date booked - Applicable to bookings for the period December 16th, 2007 to February 27th, 2008 (except for the New Year's Eve and Carnival weeks). New Year's Eve and Carnival - · 60 (sixty) days prior to the Hotel check-in date booked - Applicable to bookings for New Year's Eve Week, from December 28th, 2007 to January 3th, 2008, and to Carnival Week. In the instances where prepaid bookings are to be cancelled within the above mentioned deadlines, a written communication is required, detailing the respective bank data, to warrant refund of amounts paid. 2.1. Beyond-Deadline Cancellations / No Show (failure to arrive at the Hotel check-in date booked) High and Low Seasons - · An amount equivalent to 50% (fifty per cent) of the period booked for will be charged, as compensation for Beyond-deadline Cancellations or No Show. New Year's Eve and Carnival: · An amount equivalent to 100% (one hundred percent) of the period booked for. · Cancellations must be communicated in writing directly to the Hotel via Fax: 0xx 71 3676-4000 or e-mail reservas@ecoresort.com.br No Show will remain available to its intended Guest for twenty-four hours. Should the intended Guest fail to check in or get in touch with the Bookings desk, the apartment will be reintegrated to the Hotel as serviceable. 2.2 Alterations to Bookings · The following instances are regarded as alterations to bookings: changes in the category of apartment and in the number and name of guests to occupy the same apartment. · Abbreviation of the periods booked for are subject to the established under the chapter Cancellations. Whatever other alterations applied for within the deadlines will be subject to Hotel availability in that period. 3. Payment and Confirmation Confirmation should take place by means of payment. 3.1 Procedures: Credit Card: Mastercard, Diners or Visa 3.2. Payment Lines: · High and Low Seasons Credit Card - Mastercard, Diners or Visa . 30% on confirmation of bookings . Balance due on Check Out · New Year's Eve and Carnival - 30% on confirmation of bookings - Balance due until 75 days before Hotel check in booked date. o Credit Card - Mastercard, Diners or Visa - 30% on confirmation of bookings - Balance due until 75 days before Hotel check in booked date. Bookings will be validated upon confirmation of payment via e-mail through our Finance Department. IMPORTANT; should you, having already paid for your bookings, fail to receive confirmation within 2 working days, please get in touch with us. Transfer services, where contracted, are to be paid at the same time as the bookings. 3. Children We do not accept bookings for minors unaccompanied by their lawful trustees. . Mini Club "Careta Careta" offers daily activities for children of 5 (five) to 11 (twelve). Under 5's may take part in some activities. However, an adult, father, mother or baby sitter must accompany them. 4. General Conditions . The presence of pets of whatever sort is not allowed in the hotel premises. . We do not charge service fee. . Praia do Forte EcoResort & Thalasso SPA will not be held responsible for vouchers which (1) have not been confirmed via e-mail to the electronic address informed by the guest when making his/her reservation, or which (2) have been produced in a deceitful way. . Pre-payments through bank order must be confirmed by Praia do Forte EcoResort & Thalasso SPA at least 14 days before check-in date. Failure to receive payment automatically cancels reservation. . Praia do Forte EcoResort & Thalasso SPA will be in charge of all procedures concerning reservation, alterations and canceling. Guest must check (1) if they have received via e-mail the confirmation, alterations and canceling of booking, (2) if they are correct. In case guests do not receive the confirmation, alterations or canceling of their bookings they should contact the hotel via e-mail or phone. Reservations are only canceled after we have confirmed their canceling. Besides, a fine may be charged in case alterations or canceling were not communicated in due time as well as for No-show. Please check our "Canceling Policy".. . Guests facing any problem in the services offered by us should contact us immediately so that we can solve it in due time. Passengers should know their reservation number. This would help our operators to identify them easily and with security. Complains which are not reported to Praia do Forte EcoResort & Thalasso SPA the moment the problem happens will hardly be accepted later. They should come with detailed information and, when possible, with documents such as: booklets, receipts, voucher, cancellation numbers, etc. |
