Ethical Business Policies
1) Employ all local staff and train them from scratch. None of our employees have ever worked in the industry before,
2) Promote hotels with eco credentials.
3) Introduce all clients to various charities in their travel area as so many ask how they can help.
4) Take all Rajasthan groups on guided tour of SOS Childrens Village, so far India Beat clients have sponsored more than 30 children.
5) India Beat support Help in Suffering a charity involved in the welfare of Jaipur's elephants, street dogs and working animals. (Victoria also works there on Saturdays)
6) India Beat supports the goverment effort to catalog and renovate the 26 state museums around Rajasthan. (Bertie takes photographs and video of the current state of the museums in order to get approval for funding from the state government)
7) India Beat does not allow clients to ride elephants at the Amber Fort as the animals are not looked after properly.
8) India Beat does not encourage clients to use elephants whilst on safari in Madhya Pradesh as it is traumatic for the tigers and can interfere with feeding habits.
9) The India Beat office is as eco friendly as possible, using eco lighting, air coolers (not AC), recycled paper for all client packs (from cotton textile waste material) and printer usage, the office is powered by zero emission battery packs during power shortages as opposed to diesel generators.
10) India Beat encourages all clients to use public transport for at least part of their trip. This adds to the experience as an added benefit.
11) India Beat organises escourted visits to temples and Mosques to enable clients to experience religious sites at service times. Guides are locals who regularly visit the site for personal religious reasons and therfore can explain the ceremony form an insiders point of view.
12) India Beat promotes Dastkar Women's Cooperative in Ranthambore and take all groups to visit the workshop.
