At Detox International we place great importance on creating a supportive and healing atmosphere where people can feel safe to detox on all levels. We are always on hand to guide and support our clients on their detox journey with the aim of not only to bringing about transformation on the Physical level, but also on the Emotional, Mental and Spiritual levels.

We have been running detox retreats for 5 years and have an experienced team of therapists and detox managers. Our fully comprehensive detox programme cleanses and regenerates not just the small and large intestines, but the body's organs and cells as well. This level of deep tissue cleansing helps to prevent and overcome disease and is the first step in restoring optimum health and vitality to your whole body.

We are soon to start Raw Food teaching retreats next year.

Our retreats are as holistic, natural and ethical as we can make them.

Most of the detox team live close to the retreat sites we use which reduces travel impact. We are currently looking into a carbon offset scheme to offset the impact of our clinets flying to the retreats.
We use recyclable materals where possible e.g. paper, plastic containers, filter water rather than use bottled.

We re-use or re-cycle all packaging e.g. nutritonal supplement containers. All the detox food for juicing is organic and local to the retreat sites. We give informative and educational talks to the clinets on nutritional and wider environmental issues, encouraging them to eat organic, recycle, use natural products etc.

You need to complete the medical information form before your booking will be accepted. Detox International reserves the right to reject a booking when it is considered that a fast is not appropriate for a specific health condition.

However we would love to discuss with you how you can work with a recommended nutritionist or naturopath to prepare you for detox at a later date.

If you are taking the contraceptive pill, please be aware that you may need additional barrier contraception for 4 to 6 weeks after the fast.

If you are an insulin-dependent diabetic (Type I or Type II) we recommend that you do not undertake a complete juice fast. Please speak to us in person if you are in any doubt.

Anyone with major chronic illness should consult with their GP or Naturopath before attending. In certain cases, we may ask for a letter from your GP to say that you are well enough to attend detox.

Detox retreats are not suitable if you are pregnant or breast feeding, because toxins released by the body during the detox can cross the placenta or be passed on through the mother’s milk.

However, if you are trying to improve fertility (both men and women) then a detox is one of the best things you can do in preparation, ideally 3-4 months prior to trying to conceive.
