Aqua Expeditions, the first company to introduce five-star luxury cruising to the Amazon, fulfills the dream of founder and CEO Francesco Galli Zugaro. Galli Zugaro, who previously worked with a boutique cruise operator in the Galapagos Islands, has long dreamed of taking travelers to one of the world’s most beautiful and remote regions. The Lima, Peru-based firm will operate its first ship year round, sailing from and to Iquitos, and taking travelers on a luxurious journey to the sources of the Amazon, the remote Pacaya Samiria Reserve, and beyond.

Aqua Expeditions is truly dedicated to preserving the glorious, but environmentally threatened, Amazon Basin. While regulations are very loose regarding sewage disposal in Amazonia—and in fact we are the only vessel operating on the Amazon to have a sophisticated sewage treatment plant—we believe that proper sewage treatment plays a crucial role in protecting the health of the people and wildlife that live along our rivers. One way to do that is through careful, meticulous waste management. All waste is treated onboard the vessel, in fully contained storage tanks. The result is 100% clean, sterile water that can safely be discharged into the rivers of the Amazon Basin. Our waste storage tanks comply fully with IMO and U.S. Coast Guard standards. In fact, we are doing much more than local regulations require, to show our genuine commitment to environmentally responsible tourism.

a) Reservations made 91 days or more before departure:
A deposit of US $200 per person is required to confirm the booking. The final balance is required 90 days
prior to departure. If the payment is not received on time, the space(s) will be automatically released.
b) Reservations made 90 days or less prior to departure:
A full, non-refundable payment is required to confirm the booking.
The cruise price is based on double occupancy.
FIT CANCELLATION POLICY
a) Cancellations made 121 days or more before departure:
The deposit will be refunded, less a US $100 service charge per person.
b) Cancellations made 120 to 91 days prior to departure:
All deposits are nonrefundable.
c) Cancellations made 90 days or less prior to departure:
Full payment will be applied as the cancellation penalty.
GROUP RESERVATIONS & PAYMENTS (8 PAX OR MORE)
a) Reservations made 121 days or more prior to departure:
An initial deposit of US $200 per person is required to confirm the booking, with a second deposit of US
$200 per person 120 days before departure. The final balance is required 90 days prior to departure.
b) Reservations made 120 days to 91 days prior to departure:
A deposit of US $400 per person is required to confirm the booking. The final balance is required 90 days
prior to departure.
c) Reservations made 90 days or less prior to departure:
A full, nonrefundable payment is required to confirm the booking.

The deposit will be refunded, minus a US $100 service charge per person.
